Argalasti
Argalasti is a semi-mountainous town in southern Pelion. It is built in a fertile field 40 km southeast of Volos, at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level. It is an important tourist center of the region, as one of the villages of Pelion with a rich cultural tradition. The region is very fertile and produces oil, cereals and various fruits. In recent years, viticulture and wine production are developing dynamically in the area. An exceptional example of local architecture of the early twentieth century is the bell tower of the church of Agios Apostolos, while embedded in the walls of many structures are members of ancient and medieval buildings.
