Pteleos
The Municipality of Pteleos is an ideal area for holidays throughout the year, but mainly in summer when there is intense tourist traffic. There are many historical monuments and sights, such as parts of Mycenaean tombs, the Venetian castle in Pigadi, remains of an old windmill in Hamako, the findings of the old settlement of Hamako, the habitat of Lihoura, the mountain range of Othrios with the recently discovered museum of the sea of the Achilles.
In addition to historical monuments there are churches and chapels, which due to their location or importance are also an interesting destination. The picturesque church of Agios Georgios, built on a hill, is worth a visit, as from there one can admire the bay of Pagasitikos and the entire mountain range of Pelion day and night.
